One more reason why Finland is better than you.
I married a Finn. Well, she's half-finnish. I'm just talking about that half, so I'll just call her "Finnish' for now.
Before I met her, I didn't really know that much about Finland. I knew they were a progressive Scandinavian country, with a lot of cool hard rock bands, but that was about it. I didn't realize how great the people were (Stoic, but with a sense of humor) nor did I recognize how hardcore macho they could be (going after soldiers who were armed with guns, armed with knives, and winning. Skis and knives and Finns are much more hardcore than Russians with guns.)
I learned some great concepts, like Sisu, and picking berries from commonly held land.
In general, I think Finland is superb, and my wife and I have a joke: when she starts talking about it, with any kind of pride I say "FINLAAAND!" in that sing-song announcer/heroic voice. She might think I'm being sarcastic, but I'm not. I think of Finland as the superhero of countries.
They're also beyond stylish, which is why I now want to direct you to one of my favorite web sites: Hel Looks. It's mostly just full-length shots of people in Helsinki and Turku, with a short paragraph containing their thoughts on the clothes they were. It's better than any fashion magazine you could buy.
